During the first week of school, Mr. Hunt's ALE Science class took went outside to demonstrate their knowledge of the solar system in preparation for the eclipse. Students created a scaled model of the solar system with sidewalk chalk. |

Ms. Paula Lipscomb's and Ms. Veda Struble's 7th grade Geo-Lit classroom has won my heart. A large classroom library and lots of lamps set the atmosphere in the room. Student backpacks hang on the wall, and student supply bins are located at the end of each set of tables. The classroom includes a student work area and an area for organizing student notebooks. It must be seen to be appreciated; the pictures do not do this room justice! |

During the first week of school, Ms. Lisa White's high school Spanish classes created Anchor Y-charts that describe what Agency looks like, sounds like, and feels like. BHS teachers judged each of the posters, and one winner each from the Spanish I, Spanish II, and Spanish III/IV courses earned a place of honor in Ms. White's classroom so that students can refer back to them throughout the school year.
